Now that we’ve had an opportunity to stop and take a breath, our most heartfelt thanks go out to each and everyone of you for your endless thoughts and prayers that helped Jon through this difficult time. We are so blessed to have such a supporting group of friends and family as well as those that felt compelled to show your support for our son and brother.
Jon has passed the first hurdles in a long road to recovery. The next 7 to 10 days will be extremely difficult as we begin to evaluate what Jon remembers about the accident. With that said, Jon will be unable to have visitors until which time the doctors feel Jon is in a place physically and emotionally. We will update this site periodically with Jon’s recovery progress.
The anticipation is Jon will be in ICU for the next 3-7 days and then be transferred to a room here in the hospital for about two weeks. With his continued progress he will be transferred to a short term rehabilitation hospital for upwards of 3 months.
Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers and we hope you will continue them through Jon’s road to recovery.
As thankful as we are, today will be a day that our thoughts and prayers will be with the families of Jon’s friends who were with him on that tragic night. Please help us by directing your warm thoughts to these families as they say goodbye to their loved ones.
